Fiber Optic Analyst
Responsible for intake, management and analysis of all fiber optic test results. Additional responsibilities include determination of pass/fail test results, providing the customer feedback on findings, and communicating with contractors to discuss anomalies in test results. Understanding of fiber optic characteristics and fiber optic theory, OTDR testing, optical power meter testing, and OTDR trace viewing software.
Senior Fiber Technician
Responsible for terminating and testing aerial and underground fiber optic systems, updating and maintaining project tracking information such as production sheets, time sheets and customer required paperwork. Additional responsibilities include performing all aspects of the project in accordance with BICSI standards and applicable building codes. The Fiber Technician will be responsible for prepping and splicing fiber optic cables. Deep knowledge of most fiber optic splice closures, OTDR testing, optical power meter and fiber identifier. Will be called upon to build CWDM, DWDM, and mux add/drop circuits.
Fiber and Copper Technician
Responsible for terminating and testing aerial and underground fiber optic and copper systems, updating and maintaining project tracking information such as production sheets, time sheets and customer required paperwork. Additional responsibilities include performing all aspects of the project in accordance with BICSI standards and applicable building codes. The Fiber and Copper Technician will be responsible for prepping and splicing fiber optic and copper cables. Familiar with fiber optic splice closures, copper enclosures, OTDR testing, optical power meter and fiber identifier.
